For the first time in human history, society has the capacity, the knowledge and the resources to eradicate poverty. The stock of global financial assets is estimated to be about 218 trillion USD. Just a small portion invested towards sustainable development would make a huge difference in the world. Ban Kim Moon who is a South Korean politician states that we can be the first generation to end poverty, that is however only if everyone takes part in the effort.

Two very inspiring activists today are Melinda and Bill Gates which came up with the Gates foundation. The Gates Foundation Poverty China project launched a campaign called Goalkeepers to help quicken the process towards ending not only poverty but also inequality and injustice. This coincides with helping achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The country´s richest businessman also spends $158 million on the work over the past four years, its first major anti-poverty investment in the US. Report says there have been mind-blowing improvements in the human condition but like with everything, the world calls for more.
